How effective is your parenting? What kind of a "kid coach" are you? Essentially, good parenting/coaching involves at least six core competencies. These include creating a loving climate in your home, being a godly model, disciplining your children, urging your children to have an impact on their world and intentionally coaching and mentoring your children, and other kids, in life skills.
Start with the words of Moses as your chief strategy: "Teach them when they rise up, lie down, walk in the way, or sit in their home" (Deuteronomy 6). Do you understand what Moses is saying? First, get a handle on God's principles yourself and then teach and equip your children in those principles, taking advantage of every possible teachable moment. In other words, effective parenting/coaching requires communicating biblical principles in a diligent, persistent, proactive, and responsible manner. Such parents are building the leaders of the future.

Dr. Jenson developed this program to be an outgrowth of the skills you learned in the Taking the Lead and Life Coach System programs. Socrates said, "You'll never know a line is crooked unless you have a straight one to put next to it." Today, our children desperately need straight lines and absolute principles around which to build and live their lives. In many cases, their success, their future, depend upon our passing on what we ourselves have learned and mastered.
Dr. Jenson's introductory CD Program will explain this process in greater detail and will provide insights that will enable you to build foundational biblical principles into the children and youth within your circle of influence in a non-threatening, self-learning environment.
